I glue glass to pots, bowls, rocks and - sometimes - to tables.
A design is drawn on the pot and the spaces between the lines
are filled in with beautiful pieces of glass - I'm just coloring with
glass.

The original purpose of making these pots was not to sell
them, but as a creative outlet for myself. People kept asking to
buy them. Eventually, finding my own and my friends' shelves filling, it
became obvious that the time had come to let some of them go.
(The pots, not the friends.) This has led to me being far busier
than I had ever intended. But, it is a lot of fun.
Please forgive the photo quality - I
glue glass better than I shoot pictures. Each person who has
received one of these pots has commented on how much more
beautiful the pieces are in person. My photography skills fail
to capture the
detail or the reflective qualities of the hundreds of pieces of
glass that cover the surface.

These images are just a sampling of some of the ideas
people have come up with for their own mosaic pieces. Several of the
themes have been repeated on other pots, bowls, or tables. A
few new themes and items, which have been made to be given as gifts for someone, are not
yet shown. I don't want to spoil the surprise.
If you are interested in having an item made especially for
you, write to me and we'll talk. I don't do commission
work, but if you have a theme you would be interested in, let me
know. I'll play around with your idea and we'll see what
happens. If you like it, it's yours. If not, I have something
new for myself.
Prices vary according to the piece, but the 8"-tall
pots (which most of those pictured here are) start at $450.
There seems to always be a waiting list, so be sure and contact
me early if you have a special occasion coming up and are
looking for a gift to be ready by a specific time.
I've just discovered a new pot shape to work with and it is already quite popular. The one used in the Just Fishes piece, is 5" tall, the interior of the bowl is 5.25" wide and 4.75" deep. The smaller version is 4" tall, with an interior 4" wide at the top, and 3.75" deep. While I never recommend putting anything wet in any of these mosaics, these could be used for holding dry items - potpourri, wrapped candies, etc. Write for pricing. JudySullivan@coloringwithglass.com
